Fact of the week

Okay, okay I’m late.  2 weeks late.  But better late than never? huh?

According to Wikipedia (italics mine):

Judd Nelson’s (Bender, the criminal’s) performance was influenced by his method style technique of staying in character off set. He was accused of bullying Molly Ringwald (Claire, the princess) the due to his insistence on remaining in character when the camera was not rolling. This behavior nearly forced Hughes (Director) to fire Nelson, but Nelson was defended by Paul Gleason (principal Vernon), his on-screen nemesis, who stated that Nelson was just trying to stay in character and did not mean anything by it.

Oh, those actors!  We’re a weird bunch.
